The International Studies Institute has initiated a series of constructive changes aimed towards global expansion. Our new name, International Studies Institute (replacing The Institute at Palazzo Rucellai), serves as a symbolic and meaningful shift towards a global citizenship and underlines a drive for developing cultural diversity.
ISI is renowned for the high caliber and international component of its faculty. Many of them come from countries other than Italy and have earned their Ph.D.’s at the most prestigious universities either in Europe or in other continents. More important still, we want our student body to display the same global nature.
We are thus extremely proud to announce that the first cohort of Australian students from Melbourne University has joined our program for the 2012 Fall Semester, while preliminary contacts with a prestigious Mexican academic institution are under way. This new addition is proving an exceptional opportunity for students and professors alike to benefit from yet another cultural infusion. We all heartily welcome Melbourne University and are honored to have their participation at the Institute.
