With a commitment to help students have a safe and rewarding educational experience abroad, ISI Florence opened its doors in 2001. Since then the program has offered an increasingly wide variety of courses, field trips, internships, and cultural immersion opportunities. To continue providing current and future students with these once-in-a-lifetime chances, our institute has recently acquired more space in its already large facility at Palazzo Bargagli. Since January 2015 ISI Florence has expanded and taken over the other half of the palace’s first floor, thus adding six new bright classrooms, two staff offices, a student lounge equipped with printers and computers, a patio terrace and a 50-seat lecture hall. With over 20,000 square feet, today Palazzo Bargagli offers a renewed spacious setting that we believe will provide each and every student with a comfortable environment for studying and meeting with their peers. To take advantage of this new setting, the art studio has been transferred from Via del Moro to the ground floor of this imposing palace, where drawing, painting, and fresco classes can enjoy more space than ever before. Finally, also the entrance to this four-storey building has been changed for ISI Florence students, faculty, and staff, being now located on Lungarno delle Grazie, with stunning views of the city from the classrooms and balconies facing the river Arno.
