PHYS 273 – Introductory Physics: Waves

  • Discipline(s): Physics, STEM

  • Credits: 3

  • Instructor: TBA

Description
The official title of this course is “Introductory Physics: Waves.” However, the topics covered in this course are somewhat broader than this. We will, of course, deal with the physics of waves. However, the course will cover aspects of the physics of oscillations as well as waves. In addition, it will provide an introduction to the mathematical techniques needed to describe vibrations and waves.
The physics and mathematics discussed in this course are interesting and important in their own right. Moreover, the various approaches used in these lessons stand out as important landmarks in virtually all subjects regarding advanced physics.

Learning Outcomes
Solve all the problems related to the topics discussed in class
(See course description above).

Course descriptions may be subject to occasional minor modifications at the discretion of the instructor.
